The Box House By Alessandro Capellaro

Happy new week! How was your weekend? Mine was filled with good times!

It's been a long time since I have updated. The time is nearing where Spotlight may not exist any longer. I have become more busy than ever in more recent years. But it is a good kind of busy. I am still working on my certifications and hoping to start the LEED prep real soon. My goal is to get a green / sustainability job, with the intent of starting renovations on old interiors in NYC. I feel like that goal is unreachable, but that is just my lack of motivation and commitment speaking.

Another reason why it is been hard to keep Spotlight going - the blog has been nothing but problems for the past year or so. When I would upload images, often they would load fine for a couple days, and then when I would go back to check on them - they were unavailable. I talked to Google/Blogger about this numerous times, we would think it was fixed, but sadly it was not. Now Blogger is starting another new interface, and to be quite honest - I am not ready for it.

I have been thinking about switching over to Tumblr - it seems it will be a little easier to update, and less aggravation. I feel that the times of Blogger are over and other hosts are taking over. We shall see. It is a hard decision. Starting over isn't always something easy, but it also isn't the worst thing in the world.

I have a lot to think about. I have a lot to work on about, and I just don't have a lot of time. It takes commitment and motivation to keep it going.

I just can't imagine not having Spotlight to update. I have put so much time and passion into the blog for years. I love sharing great spaces, design, art, and fashion.

Without further ado - here is an amazing loft built by Alessandro Capellaro in Florence, Italy.

What a beautiful place!
